What's a Credit Union?

Credit Unions are financial cooperatives controlled by the members. They pool their money and lend to each other. As the credit union grows, more services can be offered to the members.

When you become a member of the credit union, you are actually one of the owners or shareholders. Every year at the annual meeting, you elect a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors guides the activities of the credit union. The Supervisory Committee is charged with conducting and reporting regular audits.

Our goal is to provide full service to you, the member!

So, welcome to one of the fastest growing financial institutions today, your credit union, San Juan Mountains Credit Union!
